Changing Worlds can offer paid work in top class hotels in New Zealand.
In September and January every year we send participants to work in the Copthorne hotel in the Bay of Islands.
In late June we send participants to work in the Millenium chain of hotels in Queenstown - described as 'the adrenalin capital of the World'. We send people at this time of year to experience their ski season that lasts from July until about September.
Most participants work in housekeeping - basically a cleaning job. For those with experience others have found themselves working in Food and Beverage (waitering). In the past we have had people working as 'Front of House', as night porters and in laundry.
In all cases the hours are long but the pay is good. You can expect to earn around £5 per hour and this goes along way in a country like New Zealand.
This kind of placement would interest students of travel and tourism and related subjects who are looking to make a career in this field.
