Our placements are around the medieval city of Sibiu that is located in the centre of Romania. Sibiu, in the heart of Transylvania, is a region festooned in history and culture. The influences of the German Saxons in the surrounding lands of the city are still there – so much so that German is still spoken in some villages today!

We have orphanage placements in Tornu Rosu a typical rural village some 25 kilometres from Sibiu. Here volunteers would support the children and young adults as carers.

We have teaching placements in Slimnic a village North of Sibiu in the ‘Saxonlands’.
