You are spoiled for choice!

Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture for 2007 and this will come as no surprise to visitors as there is so much to do and see in the city itself. There are fantastic (and cheap) restaurants serving both international and local cuisine. There are numerous night clubs where you will meet the locals enjoying a night out.

Away from the night life there is plenty to explore including museums, churches and city walls. The city has a quaint and relaxed feel about it with mediavel backstreets and alleyways. The city has experienced considerable political upheaval and this is reflected in the types of historical architecture found in the unlikeliest of places.

There are plenty of shops that sells most things you will need. Clothes and shoe shops abound!

Access to the areas surrounding Sibiu are easy to reach with good road and rail connections.

One hour South of Sibiu is Paltinis that is a mountain retreat for skiing and tobagganing. A great place to stay during weekends when you need to relax and enjoy some well deserved time off!

To the North of Sibiu is the Germanic region of Saxonlands with their individual designed and unique fortified churches.

Further away are the Carpathian Mountains, the historic centre of Brasov and Dracula's castle...after all you are in the centre of Transylvania!

Bucharest the capital is about five hours drive away from Sibiu on the highway.
