Honduras is a Spanish speaking country.
We ask that all our participants have at least GCSE level in Spanish. We ask this because our volunteers tells us that this makes a huge difference to their contribution both on the placement and in the local community.
All our participants will be taught spoken Latin American Spanish. This is an intergal and important part of our Honduras programme and is non negotiable - that means that all our participants must be willing to learn Spanish and turn up to the pre-arranged lessons. We know that this will really enhance your trip and help on your placement.
Will Prieto will be teaching Spanish to all our participants at his Language school in San Pedro Sula. You can find out more about Will and his language school by e-mailing Will at: brightstudents@gmail.com
For all our volunteers going away on or after Monday 01 September 2008 Changing Worlds will ask you to complete a Criminal Record Bureau check. Click here for more details and an application form.
