Money Back Guarantee
If you do not receive the placement that you have booked and we are unable to offer you a suitable alternative, you are entitled to a full refund of your placement fee less any costs incurred by Changing Worlds on your behalf before you depart, or a pro-rata refund once you are abroad. This will not apply should Changing Worlds find you a suitable replacement assignment.
Cancellation Fees
Your deposit is non-refundable as Changing Worlds will have spent time and resources processing your application as soon as it is received. It may be that a host family and/or organisation (usually the Changing Worlds representative) abroad have also been involved and incurred similar costs, so will need to be compensated accordingly.
Should you not be successful in your chosen application, we will endeavour to find you a mutually acceptable alternative placement. The cost of this may differ from the original, so any balance will need to be paid or refunded accordingly. Should no acceptable replacement be found, a full refund of the placement fee will be due. The cost of additional expenses, such as flights, will not be refundable by Changing Worlds.
Should there be a disruption of your placement due to unforeseen circumstances (for example due to acts of war or terrorism), a suitable alternative will be sort as soon as possible. We are not able to make a refund in such situations, and we are not liable for any loss, damage, expense or claim as a result. You may be liable for extra travel costs.
Payment for accommodation and meals must be made in full even in the event of your absence due to weekends away etc, as host families rely on the income expected, so no refunds can be made.
Should there be a disruption of your placement due to a problem with your visa, Changing Worlds will do all that it can to help resolve the situation. However, Changing Worlds cannot be responsible for your visa or visa application. Any extra costs incurred will reamin your responsibility and we will not refund payments that we have received from you.
Should you be asked to leave the placement country for any reason (see our booking conditions points 8: Discipline and Dismissal from Paid or Voluntary Employment and 9; Serious Misconduct), Changing Worlds is not liable to refund any monies you have paid to us, or to organise an alternative placement for you.
If you choose to terminate your placement prematurely for any reason, we will not refund any payments that you have made.
